Stephanie J. Wilson, J.D., CFP®
I am a native of Lawrence, Kansas, though I spent my junior high and high school years in Germany. I hold a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and a law degree from Washburn University. I am licensed to practice law in Kansas. I am also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
I am also the granddaughter of Evelyn, who spent 10 years in assisted living facilities and nursing homes due to her dementia, only to run out of money and qualify for Medicaid a month before her death. The lack of help available to navigate her financial and legal needs inspired me to limit my practice to elder law and special needs planning.
I am a former workers compensation attorney, with considerable experience in handling Medicare Set-Aside (MSA) arrangements.
I am also a mother. A daughter. The owner of a crazy but loyal Jack Russell Terrier. A hobby Kombucha and Jun tea maker. An audible.com junkie. A Colorado hiker.
I am lucky to have a career where I can truly make a difference for others. My law firm is intentionally small. It enables me to provide the best possible service to my clients at a reasonable price.
